Brief Goth update

Belinda found out about her husband’s affair with Cynthia Kim and is not talking to him.  He now has an illegitimate daughter, Aria.  Belinda put her energies into trying to get a promotion in her dance career.

Lucius Goth’s son, Varulf, grew from a toddler to school age.

The Goths

I haven’t udpated the Goths for a while because I lost interest in playing them.  However, it was time to get rid of Alexander who had outlived his normal lifetime (all his uni mates were long dead).

But where to start?

Lucius, you may remember was engaged to a friend from uni – Hope.  They got married in the back yard one night (when I realised they weren’t even married and I’d planned sprogs!).

(You’ll have to excuse the graphics – I turned the settings right down when the card was playing up and suddenly it’s all working again and I daren’t turn them back up.)

Not long after, Hope gave birth to a boy she (inexplicably) called Salazar.

Alexander holds his new grandson.

Salazar quickly grew to a toddler and Hope became pregnant again.

Alexander, meanwhile, was still trying to maximise all skills and in the process got abducted one night while looking through the telescope.

He enjoyed the experience, naturally.

Hope then gave birth to another boy and he was called Varulf.  Here’s the new chair for babies I recently acquired.

Young Varulf fell asleep but when awake he pressed the animal buttons and bounced up and down – very cool.  When crying he sounded like the Sims 3 toddlers.

Alexander’s wife, Linda, then died, age 77.

About a Sim day later, Alexander finally died, age 80.

Over at Belinda’s her toddler grew to school age.

Belinda got pregnant again and gave birth to Vlad.

The boy (sorry, name escapes me yet again) grew to a teen,

and Vlad grew to a toddler.

Goth update

Lucius returned home from uni.  He invited his fiancée, Hope, around and introduced her to his mother.

Lucius’ mother, Belinda, figured she should teach Hope how to cook if she were going to marry Lucius.

Lucius, meanwhile, went for a different look.

Lucius and his parents had some family time.

I don’t think Lucius has a job yet.

A pregnant Belinda visited.

It wasn’t long before Belinda gave birth:

I’m sorry.  It’s been so long since updated or played this particular family that I can’t remember what the baby’s name is.  I think it’s a girl…

Lucius Goth

Lucius, you may remember, was at university.  It was there that he met fellow student Hope.

He had his first kiss.

Hope fell in love sooner than Lucius did.  She attempted a proposal, which Lucius rejected.

But with a bit more wooing, Hope got Lucius to the stage where he himself proposed.

Hope accepted.

Belinda marries

Belinda became pregnant so Edvard felt obliged to marry Belinda.  They had a small wedding ceremony at home.

I can’t remember who the idiot in the hat is.  Still having guest number problems.

I’m not convinced Edvard is happy about the marriage.

Edvard took Belinda’s surname.

Belinda Goth

I had Belinda and her uni boyfriend, Edvard, drop out of university.  They moved into a new house on a cliff which overlooked Pleasantview.

They celebrated.

Edvard had an idea…

He got Belinda into the car and they woohooed and made out – then neighbours appeared to welcome them.

Once the neighbours left (having unsuccessfully tried to make contact), I got Belinda and Edvard to go shopping for some decent clothes.  Belinda managed to spend 5,000 Simoleans.

Belinda was afraid of losing the man of her dreams.  She’d previously tried to get pregnant to keep him, but now they had a house together she braved the ultimate and proposed.

He accepted.

Goth ageing

Alexander and Linda grew to elderhood at the same time.

Alex now sports the elder Goth male garb.

Linda doesn’t really have anything suitable.  She will have to go shopping.

Lucius has left for university.  Belinda is still there with her boyfriend but I’m tempted to make them drop out – it just takes too long and they’re both still in their freshman year.

Belinda makes it

With a bit of help from Lucius, Belinda finally did enough homework to get into university (without a scholarship, of course).  And not a moment too soon.  She was taking out her frustrations on the trash can and dollshouse.

Once at university though, study wasn’t really on her mind.  She spotted someone she was very interested in.

Belinda asked around but heard that he rarely spoke to anyone and spent most of his time studying or working out.

Belinda took the plunge and introduced herself.  Before she knew it they had became friends.  She’d already fallen for him so was susceptible to his charms.

He plans to stick around to complete his degree, but will Belinda?

Stagnation at the Goths

Nothing much happening at the Goths at all.  Alexanda and Linda don’t have jobs and yet they’re not short of money at all.  Alexanda’s LTW is to max 7 skills (but sometimes I forget that and he doesn’t work towards them).

Belinda should be at university but she hasn’t been doing any homework and has an F grade.

Lucius is catching up and is now a teenager.

His homework is up-to-date.  He might have to help out his sister.

Hmm

Ok, I’ve had one comment not to delete – thank you.  I’ll endeavour, then, to make the posts more interesting.  The trouble is I don’t play those Sims as often as I’d like to.  I have so many families in Veronaville as well as in Pleasantview and Strangetown that I tend to play only 2 Sim days each.  I’m also encountering videocard driver problems after installing Freetime and Apartment Life.  Naturally I’m exploring the new goodies included with them and started playing a family in Belladonna Cove.  The videocard problem means that the game crashes after a couple of days and won’t load again until I reinstall the driver.  It makes no sense but I don’t know what to do about it.  The other problem is that I’m now not the only one playing the Sims in the house, dammit!  The other two in the household like to play as well.  Drat!  It was all sweet when I was the only one addicted.

Anyway, I have played since my last post but as I thought I was probably deleting I didn’t take any pics.  I’d forgotten that Cassandra wanted three kids to graduate.  Unfortunately she’s no longer capable of having kids as she’s now an elder.  There goes that LTW.  It’s a relief actually.  I find University so boring.  Ophelia has moved to university but I don’t know if she’ll stay there or drop out.  Her brother is now a teen.

Ramone has also moved to university and I think Banshee is now a teen.  Lilith has grown to an elder.  Check out the Brokes to read about Angela.

Nothing startling happening at the Goths, sorry.
