Dreamerless
I find that with certain families I only play to age them for consistency with the rest of the neighbourhood. Regis Dreamer and family were starting to become one of them. I was bored with them. And so, as the timer was on fast-forward I wondered why I was wasting my time. I had no plans for the family and really couldn’t be bothered. So the nasty Sim god that I can be decided to do away with the whole family.
First I tried fire.

But of course the parents ended up dying first and Davey survived.

That left Davey an orphan, to be picked up by the social worker.

No. Didn’t want that. I wanted the whole family to perish. So I exited without saving and tried again. The newly installed family pool was the perfect method.

An evening family swim...
Davey was first to drown and the sun came up.

Regis was the last to perish.

One boring family down. Alas, that means that the Dreamer surname has no future in this blog as Ophelia is an old and childless spinster.
Dreamers
Regis’ wife, Katerina, wasn’t a motherly type at all. She didn’t really care about Davey.

He did get to play at times though.

But overall, he wasn’t very happy and he didn’t grow up well.

When his dad was home, Davey got more attention.

Regis was promoted to High School teacher.
Vanni growing up
Vanni Pleasant, unlike his cousin Shayla, learned to walk and was potty trained. He was a happy kid, despite the idiocy of his nanny. At one point his nanny put him in the high chair then took him out about twenty times – in, out, in, out, in, out… Luckily he wasn’t hungry, but his nanny needed to visit the toilet. Instead of doing so, she peed on the floor before leaving.
Disgustingly, Vanni played in her urine…

Vanni grew up well.

He’s a good-looking kid.
Aunt Ophelia taught him how to play chess while discussing the state of the world.

Both Ramone and Ophelia Dreamer are heading for elderhood fairly soon.
More toddlers
They’re all having birthdays at once.
Katerina Dreamer had a baby boy to Regis and was called Davey (I can’t remember why).

Pretty soon, Davey was also a toddler.

I have a feeling baby Davey was also outside when his birthday came around.
The other toddler is a Broke (so head over to that blog for the very brief entry!).
Regis Dreamer
Regis has been promoted a couple of times to Campaign Manager and whatever comes after that.
His new wife, Katerina, demanded some changes around the house – inside decoration and outside. For a start she felt the car could do with a garage.

[Sorry about the graphics - the replacement graphics card doesn't appear to be as good as the previous one but I also need to make changes in the options I think, if the card can handle it. The photo looked a lot clearer when I took it but oh well.]
Katerina is now pregnant (probably much to her dismay – she’s a romance Sim).

Dream(er) wedding
Regis and Katerina got hitched in a private ceremony (only two guests were permitted, for some bizarre reason).

Cake-stuffing
Katerina wasn’t impressed to see that her new sister-in-law, Ophelia, had the same dress!

Nope, Katerina didn’t want to get married. Tough.
Ophelia, meanwhile, is still single and living in a house with Ramone Pleasant.
Changes
Cassandra, at long last, began to take an interest in other men.

A romance was beginning to blossom.
That was more than could be said for Ophelia. Ophelia, like Ramone, had no boyfriend and wasn’t meeting any likely lads. She concentrated on work and had a promotion.
One evening, shortly after she came back from work, Cassandra was preparing to leave for her work. But she never left.

Death sent her in a different direction. She was 68.
Regis was still at university but returned soon after. Ophelia no longer wanted to live there. It was a house of loneliness to her. So she moved out and moved in with Ramone who lived across the road from Skip Broke.
Regis had got to know a student called Katerina Miller at university. Once back home he invited her over to woo her. Katerina played hard to get and it took a couple of visits before she’d even kiss him – it was Regis’ first kiss.

But it grew from there.

Eventually they loved each other enough for Regis to pop the question.

Katerina has now moved in. A wedding looms.
Dreamer
Regis headed off to uni. Ophelia hadn’t finished yet (and may not…). That left Cassandra and Darren.
But alas, Darren died that night, age 72. Cassandra is now all alone. I might get Ophelia to move back home.
Postscript:
I got Ophelia to move back home.

She hasn’t found a job in medicine yet (Chief of Staff is her LTW). No boyfriends on the horizon.
Hmm
Ok, I’ve had one comment not to delete – thank you. I’ll endeavour, then, to make the posts more interesting. The trouble is I don’t play those Sims as often as I’d like to. I have so many families in Veronaville as well as in Pleasantview and Strangetown that I tend to play only 2 Sim days each. I’m also encountering videocard driver problems after installing Freetime and Apartment Life. Naturally I’m exploring the new goodies included with them and started playing a family in Belladonna Cove. The videocard problem means that the game crashes after a couple of days and won’t load again until I reinstall the driver. It makes no sense but I don’t know what to do about it. The other problem is that I’m now not the only one playing the Sims in the house, dammit! The other two in the household like to play as well. Drat! It was all sweet when I was the only one addicted.
Anyway, I have played since my last post but as I thought I was probably deleting I didn’t take any pics. I’d forgotten that Cassandra wanted three kids to graduate. Unfortunately she’s no longer capable of having kids as she’s now an elder. There goes that LTW. It’s a relief actually. I find University so boring. Ophelia has moved to university but I don’t know if she’ll stay there or drop out. Her brother is now a teen.
Ramone has also moved to university and I think Banshee is now a teen. Lilith has grown to an elder. Check out the Brokes to read about Angela.
Nothing startling happening at the Goths, sorry.
Deletion?
I’m thinking of deleting this blog. It doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. The posts are too short – usually only to state who’s grown up – so it’s pretty boring. If there’s no interest shown (ie no comment to say don’t delete) I’ll delete it in a few days.
Thanks.
