Three birthdays
Ramone Pleasant became an elder.

She needs a visit to a hairdressers and clothing shop.
At Banshee’s place, Zeezee was learning to entertain himself.

As predicted, Mo ended up looking after his baby brother much of the time.

Shayla, left to her own devices, got into her mother’s makeup.

A sign of things to come perhaps.
The other birthdays?
Carol’s baby, Veena, became a toddler.

Aunty Michaela back from work helps Veena with her birthday
Carol herself grew into an elder at the same time.

Elder and toddler
Veena takes after the Caliente sisters, one of which is her grandmother.
Dreamerless
I find that with certain families I only play to age them for consistency with the rest of the neighbourhood. Regis Dreamer and family were starting to become one of them. I was bored with them. And so, as the timer was on fast-forward I wondered why I was wasting my time. I had no plans for the family and really couldn’t be bothered. So the nasty Sim god that I can be decided to do away with the whole family.
First I tried fire.

But of course the parents ended up dying first and Davey survived.

That left Davey an orphan, to be picked up by the social worker.

No. Didn’t want that. I wanted the whole family to perish. So I exited without saving and tried again. The newly installed family pool was the perfect method.

An evening family swim...
Davey was first to drown and the sun came up.

Regis was the last to perish.

One boring family down. Alas, that means that the Dreamer surname has no future in this blog as Ophelia is an old and childless spinster.
The sad lives of the Banshee brood
Banshee continued being an awful mother. She kept laughing at her tired and dirty toddler. I tried to get her to put Shayla in the cot but she wouldn’t. She just stood and laughed.

Mo tried his best to entertain his little sister,

but usually she was too tired to care and just cried.

He was worried about her (while his mother laughed).

Note the new baby on the floor beside her. He didn’t get much attention either. Banshee’s idea of spending time with him included taking him outside to watch the clouds (in winter).

It was then Shayla’s birthday but that got ignored as well.

Banshee had also forgotten about the baby – still outside.

It was Mo’s birthday next. He was used to being on his own.

At least now he could help look after the baby.
The next birthday to come was little Zeezee’s.

As soon as he became a toddler, Banshee put him down and helped herself to cake. She’s the most selfish Sim mother ever.

And yet she wants another baby! She’s not getting one.
Dreamers
Regis’ wife, Katerina, wasn’t a motherly type at all. She didn’t really care about Davey.

He did get to play at times though.

But overall, he wasn’t very happy and he didn’t grow up well.

When his dad was home, Davey got more attention.

Regis was promoted to High School teacher.
Vanni growing up
Vanni Pleasant, unlike his cousin Shayla, learned to walk and was potty trained. He was a happy kid, despite the idiocy of his nanny. At one point his nanny put him in the high chair then took him out about twenty times – in, out, in, out, in, out… Luckily he wasn’t hungry, but his nanny needed to visit the toilet. Instead of doing so, she peed on the floor before leaving.
Disgustingly, Vanni played in her urine…

Vanni grew up well.

He’s a good-looking kid.
Aunt Ophelia taught him how to play chess while discussing the state of the world.

Both Ramone and Ophelia Dreamer are heading for elderhood fairly soon.
The latest on Lothario
Carlos’ wife, Carol, had her baby – a girl she called Veena. Unfortunately, Carlos found out it wasn’t his.

Carlos wanted a divorce. He wanted Carol out of the house immediately.

Carol tried to plead with him.

Carlos told her to take her baby with her but to leave his son, Luciano, behind.

She moved out, coming back later to take the baby, then moved in with her cousin, Michaela. The baby’s father was busy working his charms, as usual.

The next day Luciano grew to school age.

Goth update
Lucius returned home from uni. He invited his fiancée, Hope, around and introduced her to his mother.

Lucius’ mother, Belinda, figured she should teach Hope how to cook if she were going to marry Lucius.

Lucius, meanwhile, went for a different look.

Lucius and his parents had some family time.

I don’t think Lucius has a job yet.
A pregnant Belinda visited.

It wasn’t long before Belinda gave birth:

I’m sorry. It’s been so long since updated or played this particular family that I can’t remember what the baby’s name is. I think it’s a girl…
Lotharios
In stark contrast to Shayla, her cousin, Vanni, was a happy kid, looked after by his mum and auntie Ophelia.

He didn’t need a dad, who was busy in any case…

No matter that the ‘victim’ of his charms was his own brother’s wife, Carol.

Carol’s legitimate son, Luciano, grew to toddlerhood.

Juan’s other lover, Carol’s cousin Michaela, gave birth to Juan’s second son, Gino.
Carol, incidentally, is now carrying Juan’s third illegitimate child. Juan’s worse than his (now deceased) dad.
Neglect
Banshee’s daughter, Shayla, was having a pretty miserable toddlerhood.

Banshee doesn’t care a fig about kids and yet she wants 10! She was pregnant with number 3 and Mo was around to witness the birth.

The new baby, another black boy, was named Zeezee.
Shayla, meanwhile was continuing to be ignored. Banshee actually laughed at poor Shayla who was tired and dirty.

Eventually the smell got to Banshee.

Shayla actually fell asleep on the floor but woke up. I think Banshee actually changed her nappy and put her in her cot. Finally.
Lucius Goth
Lucius, you may remember, was at university. It was there that he met fellow student Hope.

He had his first kiss.

Hope fell in love sooner than Lucius did. She attempted a proposal, which Lucius rejected.

But with a bit more wooing, Hope got Lucius to the stage where he himself proposed.

Hope accepted.
